With just two weeks to go until the release of their highly-anticipated second album, Terra Firma, Tash Sultana has unveiled a pair of hometown launch shows for later this month.
Announced this morning, the shows will see Sultana performing a pair of headline gigs at 170 Russell in Melbourne – the same venue where segments of the the “Murder to The Mind” film clip were shot back in 2017.
Presented in an intimate, COVID-safe manner, the two gigs are capped at just 200 people, with close friend and previous tourmate and collaborator Josh Cashman helping to open up each date. Tickets to the shows are on sale now, with a number of merch bundles also available.
While Terra Firma is set to be released on February 19th, Tash Sultana is also set to appear as the cover artist for Rolling Stone Australia’s upcoming March issue, with subscriptions available now.
In this nine-page cover feature, Rolling Stone Australia spoke to Tash following their sold-out show at Sydney’s Hordern Pavilion in November – their final performance as a “one-person band”.
Throughout the far-reaching discussion, Tash and writer Poppy Reid touch upon all manner of topics, including the artist’s personal growth and gender affirmation, their new musical direction, and the journey that saw them go from high school class disrupter to bedroom and street performer to selling out venues globally.
Tash Sultana’s Terra Firma will be released on February 19th, with pre-orders available now.
