Tame Impala have once again been forced to postpone their upcoming Australian tour, with the WA outfit today revealing that their December tour dates will now take place in October of 2022 instead.
Originally announcing a run of Australian dates in support of fourth album, The Slow Rush, for April of 2020, the then-nascent COVID-19 pandemic necessitated a slight shift, with the tour instead being moved to December of 2020. However, just a couple of months before the tour was set to kick off, ongoing restrictions saw the tour moved to December of 2021 instead.
Now, yet another rescheduling has been forced upon the group, with Tame Impala now set to kick off their tour toward the tail-end of 2022.
Announced today, the 2022 edition of the tour will maintain roughly the same itinerary as previously, with Brisbane now kicking off proceedings on October 18th instead of Sydney. The tour will be visiting Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, and Perth as previously planned, with tickets to the newly-announced dates on sale now.
While the original set of tour dates back in early 2020 were set to see Khruangbin joining Kevin Parker and co., such a lineup is no longer possible, with both Genesis Owusu and SYCCO serving as supports for the upcoming tour.
