A new outdoor concert series is coming to Sydney next year, with the team behind some of Australia’s best-known music festivals launching Sydney Summertime at Centennial Park.
Set to debut across late February and early March 2027, the new series will feature a run of standalone concerts headlined by international artists, alongside Australian acts. The first artists, dates and ticketing details will be revealed in the coming months.
Sydney Summertime is the latest venture from Black Peach, the independent events company founded by Jessica Ducrou and Elise Huntley. Between them, the pair have more than three decades of experience in Australian live music, playing key roles in creating and shaping festivals including Splendour in the Grass, Falls Festival, Homebake, Harvest Rock, Download Festival, and Sydney City Limits.
Rather than operating as a traditional multi-day festival, Sydney Summertime will bring separate headline concerts to Centennial Park across a limited late-summer season, spanning a range of genres and audiences.
“Centennial Park is honestly my favourite place in town, it’s an absolute dream to host Sydney Summertime in arguably the best venue in the country. What a privilege to create a greenfields concert experience here, we are super grateful to Greater Sydney Parklands and Destination NSW for supporting our vision as we roll up our sleeves and get to it. Good times ahead!” Ducrou said.
Huntley added: “Sydney Summertime is more than just another concert. It’s about creating a fresh and exciting way to experience incredible live music, bringing together great artists and audiences in one of Sydney’s most iconic outdoor settings.”
The series will offer five ticket categories at each concert, ranging from general admission and Gold Circle through to its The Grove VIP Village, The Terrace viewing deck and The Suites.

Food and drink will also form a major part of the event, with organisers planning pop-ups from Sydney restaurants alongside food trucks, cellar doors, a cocktail bar, beer hall and other bars across the site.
The NSW Government is backing the new addition to Sydney’s live music calendar through Destination NSW. “The team behind Sydney Summertime have created some of the state’s best ever festivals so it’s great to see them back with a new event,” Minister for Music and the Night-time Economy John Graham said.
“NSW has a rich music festival history, but recently that sector has been under a lot of pressure. We don’t want to lose any more festivals, in fact we want more of them, which is why we’re backing Sydney Summertime to succeed.”
Minister for Jobs and Tourism Steve Kamper added: “The new Sydney Summertime concert series is yet another reason for visitors to flock to the Harbour City at the best time of year. This is exactly the kind of event we want to see more of in NSW, events that showcase our city, support local jobs and businesses, and give people another reason to visit Sydney.”
Moshtix has been named Sydney Summertime’s official ticketing partner, with public transport to be included in concert tickets.
