International K-Pop sensation Stray Kids have added two new dates to the Australian leg of their MANIAC world tour having sold out the previously announced shows.
The boyband will now also perform on Saturday, February 18th, at Melbourne’s Rod Laver Arena Melbourne and Wednesday, February 22nd, at Sydney’s Qudos Bank Arena.
The tour is something of a homecoming for members Bang Chan and Felix, who were both raised (separately) in Sydney before moving to Korea to join the band, which also includes Lee Know, Changbin, Hyunjin, Han, Seungmin and I.N.
It’s been a breakthrough year globally for Stray Kids, who have twice topped the US Billboard 200 with their mini-albums ODDINARY (which also hit number one on the Billboard Artist 100 Chart) and MAXIDENT. They were the only artist to debut two albums at number on the US Billboard 200 this year, and the first to do so since Taylor Swift in 2021.
“Pressure is something that we all feel,” Bang Chan remarked to Billboard in a recent interview. “But I feel like that pressure just energises us more.”
“If we settle, we know we can’t go forward,” echoed his bandmate, Han. “That’s why we were and are like this. We try to look ahead and not stay still.”
