Adelaide musician Stellie has shared a pair of her gorgeous compositions for the latest edition of Rolling Stone’s ‘In My Room’, a series in which artists perform from home while in quarantine.
If you’ve had your finger on the pulse of Australian music over the last few years, the chances are good that you would have come across Stellie. From the release of her single “Cry Baby” in 2018 to the arrival of numerous tracks in the years since, Stellie has consistently proved her worth as one of the finest artists to come out of South Australia.
In just a couple of weeks, Stellie is set to release her long-awaited debut EP, with the self-titled effort collecting some of her most exciting tracks to date, including the likes of “Californian Lullaby” and “I’d Have Killed For You”. With just a few weeks to go until it arrives, Stellie has helped tide fans over by recording a gorgeous two-song set for the ‘In My Room’ series.
Kicking things off with the single “How Do We Look So Good?”, Stellie’s inimitable vocals soar atop her some effortless piano sounds, turning the track into something truly special.
To wrap things up, fans receive a sneak peek of an upcoming track, with “Bedroom Floor” set to appear on the forthcoming EP. A stunning showcase of raw talent, there’s no denying Stellie’s status as a future household name of the Australian music scene.
While 2020 was supposed to see Stellie serving as the support act for The Vanns on their Australian tour, she’s set to make her return to the live stage on August 21st, performing a release-day EP launch at the Lion Arts Factory in Adelaide. Supported by Katie Pomery, tickets to the show are on sale now via Moshtix or Stellie’s website.
