Stace Cadet and KLP have once again joined forces, this time, delivering a euphoric dance version of Sia’s 2004 hit, “Breathe Me”.
Originally an introspective ballad about needing a friend in times of darkness, the pair reinvent the track with the help of a quartet of backing musicians to add a dancefloor-ready sheen to the track, turning it into a blissful festival anthem as both KLP and Stace Cadet lend their vocal talents to the cut.
“It was the first time as a young boy that I kind of emotionally connected with a song,” Stace Cadet explains. “I feel like it kind of taught me how to be melancholic and sad. And it’s probably my favourite Sia track.”
“I was a fan of Sia back with her first, first albums, but I guess for the rest of the world, it was the first time they got to experience Sia.”
“To make it dancey, but not take away from the kind of emotion that it carries was a challenge,” Stace Cadet concludes.
Prior to their rendition of the track, the pair also performed a version of their latest single, “Energy”, which has since been certified Gold since it was released back in late April.
