With just a few weeks to go, Spilt Milk has added festival favourite Genesis Owusu to its 2025 lineup.
Returning next month with stops in Ballarat, Perth, Canberra, and the Gold Coast, Spilt Milk 2025 boasts an absolutely stacked lineup. This year’s edition marks a return after its 2024 event was cancelled mid-last year, which came as a shock to many given the huge 2023 shows that featured the likes of Post Malone, Dermot Kennedy, Dom Dolla, and Ocean Alley.
Rap icon Kendrick Lamar will headline the regional touring festival this December, joined by the likes of Doechii, Ninajirachi, Sara Landry, Dominic Fike, Schoolboy Q, Chance Peña, The Rions, Mia Wray, and more. Check out the full lineup below — set times will drop tomorrow (November 25th). Final tickets are still available for Perth.
Blending hip-hop, funk, punk and soul into a sound that’s entirely his own, Genesis Owusu is one of Australia’s most innovative artists.
His debut album Smiling with No Teeth took out the top spot in Rolling Stone AU/NZ‘s Best Australian Albums of the 2020s So Far list. Purportedly a hip-hop album, it found Owusu journeying dizzyingly through jazz, rap, and soul, whatever genre he fancied exploring.
Meanwhile his second album, 2023’s Struggler, debuted at No. 4 on the ARIA Album Charts. He returned earlier this year with singles “PIRATE RADIO” and “DEATH CULT ZOMBIE”.
Recently, Owusu has played a string of wildly lauded live residencies in Sydney and Melbourne previewing his new music within intimate, in-the-round settings, as well as at the iconic Harvest Rock festival in Adelaide. Rolling Stone AU/NZ was there, praising Owusu for being “one of Australia’s most magnetic live perfomers”.

Also joining the bill is indie-pop artist Lotte Gallagher, making her Spilt Milk debut in Ballarat, replacing Larissa Lambert.
After breaking through as a triple j Unearthed High finalist in 2023, Gallagher’s star rose. In October last year, she shared her debut EP A Better Feeling, an assured and addictive collection of songs that combined the effortless cool of modern indie with the nostalgic energy of the ’90s rock she was raised on.
More recently, she released a new EP Blasé Vengeance, which also features the previously released singles “PTRCK”, “F U IN MORSE CODE”, and “SHOWDOWN“.
The addition comes after d4vd was removed from the lineup, as an investigation into the body of a missing teenager found in a Tesla registered to the US singer continues. The Queens-born artist was quietly removed from the advertised lineup in September, before organisers officially spoke out about the move.
