It’s been a big year for Perth rockers Spacey Jane, and with the last couple of weeks helping kick off 2021 in a big way, the quartet are set to bring their critically-acclaimed debut album around the country for the first time.
Releasing their Sunlight album back in June of 2020, Spacey Jane saw immediate critical and commercial success, with the record reaching the #2 position on the ARIA charts. Since then, the kudos has barely stopped, with single “Booster Seat” not only hitting #2 in the triple j Hottest 100, but invading the top ten ARIA singles, and even appearing on last week’s Like a Version segment.
Now, after selling out shows as part of the Summer Sounds Festival in Melbourne, the Perth group have unveiled a wider headline tour, with a run of national dates this April and May set to see them finally bring Sunlight to the people.
Kicking off with a pair of Melbourne shows in early March, Spacey Jane will formally hit the road in April, with headline dates set for Western Australia, New South Wales, South Australia, and wrapping things up with a return to their home state on Friday, May 14th.
“We’re so excited to finally have the opportunity to play these songs on the road!” the group said in a statement. “It’s been a long time since we’ve managed to tour Australia, and we’re all rearing to go! These will be our biggest shows to date, in venues we’ve only dreamed of playing – see you out there ❤ ”
Support at these shows will come from none other than fellow WA artist Carla Geneve, who recently announced the release of her debut album, Learn To Like It. Tickets to Spacey Jane’s upcoming tour go on sale from 10am AEDT on Wednesday, February 3rd.
