After years spent as one of Australia’s best-kept secrets, Melbourne’s Ryan Meeking is back with gorgeous new single, sharing the mesmerising “Endless Run” this week.
Having cut his teeth as part of groups such as Ryan Meeking And The Few, Whitaker, or even working with the likes of Gossling, Meeking is no stranger to the world of music. In recent years, his name has become recognised globally thanks to his music appearing on shows such as Suits, So You Think You Can Dance USA, and Teen Wolf. Now, he’s unveiled one of his finest tracks to date.
Sharing “Endless Run” earlier this week, the new single sees Meeking sharing a blissful slice of indie-pop, pairing smooth vocals with sharp production atop an undeniable groove. Co-produced and engineered by Sam Swain (Josh Cashman, Obscura Hail) and mastered by Randy Merrill (Taylor Swift, Lady Gaga, Justin Bieber), “Endless Run” feels like an infinite, beautiful journey into the unknown, but one you’re happy to have embarked upon.
“You’re in the festival crowd. Drink it in,” Meeking explained of the tune. “Your friends, thousands of others, the music, the party, the complete loss of any sense of time and space – and who cares: the community in that. Everything is now, everything is amazing and its just the beginning. Welcome to your Endless Run.”
Alongside the single, Meeking has also shared a stunning visual accompaniment. Directed by filmmaker and photographer Rick Clifford (Ainslie Wills, Bad Pony, Tori Forsyth), and inspired by human movement, it’s a fitting clip to complement such a powerful track.
Meeking is also set to launch the single with a show at Small Time in Brunswick on August 12th, with full details available below.
