Six60’s first solo single of the year is here.

“We Made It” features the Kiwi band’s signature brand of pop-meets-reggae, ideally released just in time for summer.

According to a press release, Six60’s new song “celebrates gratitude, growth, and taking a moment to appreciate how far you’ve come.”

And how far the bandmates, who first launched the band in Dunedin two decades ago, have come.

Six60 played a special show in Sydney last night (December 11th), bringing their stadium-sized show to the Sydney Opera House Steps for the On the Steps series.

They have some major events on the live circuit coming up in 2026.

Six60 have curated their own country and roots festival, Sweet Home Aotearoa, which will bring a taste of Nashville to New Zealand next year.

Set for Saturday, January 3rd at Matakana Country Park, the one-day festival will celebrate good music and good times, promising to be “the ultimate summer experience.”

Four months later, Six60 will join forces with Synthony to host the first-ever live concert at Christchurch’s new stadium.

The blockbuster outfits are coming together for Once in a Lifetime, a special event to open Aotearoa’s newest premier venue, One NZ Stadium. Taking place on Saturday, May 16th of next year, this one-off concert will open a new chapter in Christchurch’s history in style.

“It’s a real honour for us to play the first ever show at Christchurch’s One New Zealand Stadium. Christchurch has backed us from day one, it was the first ever city to book us for a live gig, so being able to open a venue built for its future is really special. We can’t wait to put on a night that Christchurch deserves,”  Six60 said about the concert.

In other Six60 news, one of the band’s biggest hits, “Don’t Forget Your Roots”, was included in our just-published Best Australia & New Zealand Songs of the 21st Century So Far list.

Six60’s “We Made It” is out now.
