Six60 have added a massive Melbourne show to their recently announced The Castle St World Tour.

The beloved New Zealand band will now play at the Palace Foreshore on Thursday, December 1st. Tickets for the show go on sale this Friday, September 9th at 11am. The My Live Nation presale begins on Thursday, September 8th at 10am local time.

Before coming to Melbourne, Six60 will tour their home country from October to December, accompanied by stellar special guests including Tones and I, Drax Project, and Lime Cordiale.

Their world tour is in support of Castle St, the band’s highly-anticipated fourth studio album, set for release on October 7th (preorder here). The album title comes from the Dunedin street where some of the band’s members live during their foundational university years.

“This isn’t the kind of music you can make by yourself in your bedroom. It won’t just be our instruments you hear on the upcoming music, but all our vocal harmonies and BVs were done by the band as a whole,” the band explained about the album.

“It really lets you feel the breadth and spirit of Six60. An album that is real takes a lot of love and trust by the people involved and adding our fans into that circle is a really exciting next chapter.”

Last week, Six60 won the award for Best Single (“Pepeha”) at the inaugural Panhead Rolling Stone New Zealand Awards. They saw off strong competition from the likes of Lorde (“Solar Power”) and BROODS (“I Keep”) to collect the award.

The band also performed at Auckland’s Glasshouse alongside Stan Walker & Hamo Dell, and Rob Ruha & Ka Hao.
