A new electronic music event is heading to Sydney and Melbourne this November, with Grammy-nominated duo SIDEPIECE leading the inaugural Australian lineup for Echoes of Us.
Presented by Tang Events, Echoes of Us will debut in Melbourne on Saturday, November 7th, before heading to Sydney on Sunday, November 8th, bringing together international and Australian artists spanning tech house, minimal tech and techno.
The two events will also make use of unique spaces in each city. Sydney’s edition will take over the White Bay Power Station, with the industrial landmark set to become part of the event’s production through its combination of architecture, sound and lighting.
Melbourne, meanwhile, will host Echoes of Us under the Graham Street Bridge, giving both editions their own settings while maintaining the same musical direction and production concept.
Leading the lineup are American duo SIDEPIECE, whose collaboration with Diplo, “On My Mind”, earned a nomination for Best Dance/Electronic Recording at the 2021 Grammy Awards.
They’ll be joined by German producer Marten Hørger, who has amassed over 150 million global streams and performed at major electronic festivals including Tomorrowland and EDC. His catalogue also includes collaborations with David Guetta, Alesso and Tchami.
Matroda will bring his self-described ‘matrodasound’ to the bill, having built an international following through his releases, Terminal Underground label, and major festival appearances.

Also appearing is MALAA, known for his masked identity and darker, bass-heavy style. The producer has developed a cult following through releases on Tchami’s Confession label and appearances at international festivals.
Sydney-born, LA-based Wax Motif adds an Australian connection to the international lineup. A key figure in G-House and contemporary House music, Wax Motif has become one of Australia’s most successful electronic exports.
Emerging electronic act HILLS rounds out the international bill, while DJ and producer Coco Bevan leads the local contingent.
Tang Events’ Damian Chan said Echoes of Us had been designed around the relationship between its lineup, production and unconventional locations.
‘Echoes of Us has been created as a new electronic music concept focused on international artists, Australian talent, distinctive spaces and immersive production, with ambitions to establish a new presence on Australia’s electronic music calendar,” Chan said.
