Sam Smith has added a second and final show in both Melbourne and Sydney after huge demand for their upcoming Australian tour.
The British pop superstar announced that they were bringing their ‘GLORIA the tour’ to Australia and New Zealand earlier this month.
And after quickly selling out the initial Melbourne and Sydney shows, Smith will now perform again in both cities: at Melbourne’s Rod Laver Arena on Wednesday, November 1st and Sydney’s Qudos Bank Arena on Saturday, November 4th (see full dates below). Tickets for both new shows are on sale to the general public now.
“Both countries hold such a special place in my heart and we’re working hard on delivering an incredible show for you all!” Smith recently said about their upcoming Australian and New Zealand tour. “I can’t wait for you to see it and be with you all again soon.” It will be Smith’s first live shows in both countries since 2018.
The tour is in support of Smith’s forthcoming fourth studio album Gloria, which is scheduled for release on Friday, January 27th (pre-order here).
The album contains the singer-songwriter’s huge hit “Unholy”, a collaboration with Kim Petras that topped the ARIA Singles Chart, as well as lead single “Love Me More”.
Gloria has been described by Smith as feeling “like emotional, sexual and spiritual liberation.” “It was beautiful, with this album, to sing freely again, for me. It feels like a coming of age,” Smith added.
