Following a Tomorrowland set, a Diplo co-sign, and millions of streams, SACHI are back with a premature summer anthem.
The electronic duo of Nick Chrisp and Will Thomas have quickly followed up the electrifying “Whole Again” with “Feel Good”, a, well, feel-good number that is the pair’s “anthem for positivity.”
“If it makes you feel good, then do it,” they say. That’s exactly what Chris and Thomas did for the track’s creation: SACHI were in London on an unusually hot day, and wanted to make a hit that matched their convivial feelings in the sun.
“Feel Good” features Sydney’s Mali-Koa, one half of electronic duo AR/CO. The duo and Mali dovetail well together on the track, which isn’t a surprise given Mali’s diverse musical background. He’s an accomplished singer and songwriter, but nowadays he lights up the dance and electronic space, even landing two collaborations with internationally renowned DJ Meduza.
“The SACHI boys are from NZ, which is a nice synchronicity for me, being half Māori and Aussie-born,” Mali-Koa says. “That feeling of sunshine and warmth always encourages fun summer anthems, we do it so well on that side of the world. The boys capture that uplifting, youthful spirit so well.”
It’s been a big week for SACHI. The Music Network yesterday revealed that the duo are the latest signing to Concord Music Publishing ANZ, which should help project their music further around the globe.
2023 was a good year for the duo even before this week. They started it off with a bang at Rhythm & Vines, building on momentum from last year’s Tomorrowland set, an incredible feat that saw them become one of the first Kiwi acts to play the renowned electronic music festival.
SACHI are also on the lineup for the upcoming Rhythm and Alps over New Years, where they will appear alongside artists such as BENEE, Fat Freddy’s Drop, and Bicep.
SACHI’s “Feel Good” is out now via Warner Music Australia.
