If you see Sabrina Carpenter talking to a little bird, it’s probably because she’s had too much (espresso) to drink! On Monday, NBC released a new promo slot for the upcoming Olympics in Paris starring none other than the “Espresso” queen herself.
The video follows the musician having a full conversation with a cute, blue bird that flies to her table at a Paris café.
“What am I doing in Paris? Isn’t it obvious? The Olympics!” Carpenter tells the chirping bird, before listing what she’s most excited about at the Games: “The amazing ceremony on the Seine, Simone’s epic comeback, the USA-Australia rivalry at the pool … I’ve never been more excited for anything in my life.”
As “Espresso” plays in the background, the camera zooms out to show Carpenter laughing to herself as waiters share worried looks over the singer. “I think she’s had enough espresso,” says one waitress.
“It’s going to be a dream,” Carpenter says to end the ad.

The Olympic Games are set to kick off on July 26 and run through Aug. 11, just two weeks before Carpenter releases her next album, Short n’ Sweet. Carpenter opened up to Rolling Stone about the new LP, co-produced by Jack Antonoff, in an interview last month.
I hope they find whatever they need to guide them through their life through my mistakes,” Carpenter told Rolling Stone about recounting her life experiences in her music. “Because I think the more open I am with my experiences, the more that other people are like, ‘Oh, maybe that’s OK that that happened to me. It’s not the end of the world.’”
