RÜFÜS DU SOL have made touring history.

Live Nation have announced that the Australian trio now have the highest-selling electronic tour of all time.

Following a trio of sold-out hometown headline shows in Sydney, RÜFÜS DU SOL were honoured with a commemorative plaque, presented by Live Nation and Untitled, recognising the landmark achievement for their Inhale / Exhale world tour.

The milestone caps another major career year for RÜFÜS DU SOL, during which the group have sold 750,000 headline tickets and performed to 1.5 million fans worldwide across their festival and headlining shows.

The Australia and New Zealand leg of their world tour marked a commercial peak for the group, with the entire run selling out and moving more than 180,000 tickets across Perth, Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, and Auckland.

They officially became the highest-selling Australian act ever at Sydney’s Qudos Bank Arena, while they also broke the all-time venue attendance record at Auckland’s Outer Fields at Western Springs with 25,000 attendees.

Rolling Stone AU/NZ was at the group’s first Australian tour show in Perth, which turned a tepid observer into a full-blown fan in the span of the show.

“I’d argue that RÜFÜS DU SOL turning me into a fan within thirty seconds of their entrance speaks volumes; perhaps more than if I were already well acquainted,” our reviewer wrote. “It proves that their work is timeless, their reach endless, and their talent so formidable that just existing in the sphere they’ve created for themselves is an invitation enough.”

This era of RÜFÜS DU SOL has been a resounding success, with Inhale /Exhale earning them four notations at the 2025 ARIA Awards as well as a 2026 GRAMMY nomination for Best Dance/Electronic Album. Inhale / Exhale also debuted on the Billboard 200 and spawned the group’s first No. 1 on US dance radio with standout album track “Music Is Better”.
