UPDATE: Rolling Loud Australia has officially been cancelled.
Organisers confirmed the Sydney and Melbourne shows set for March have been axed, and pointed the blame at local promoters Primuse Entertainment.
“Unfortunately, our local partner, Primuse Entertainment, failed to meet critical payment deadlines and related obligations. These ongoing delays left us without the necessary guarantees so close to the event,” the statement reads.
“We will not compromise the safety or experience of our fans, artists and vendors.”

Local promoters for the Rolling Loud Festival have spoken out following reports that the event has been cancelled.
On Friday, reports began circulating that a leaked email to ticketholders confirmed that the shows, set to take place at Sydney’s Centennial Park on March 7th and Melbourne’s Flemington Racecourse on March 8th, will no longer go ahead.
Primuse Australia addressed the reports in a statement given to Rolling Stone AU/NZ on Friday.
“We are aware of media reports regarding Rolling Loud Australia. As the local promoter, we are currently in discussion with Rolling Loud and will provide an official update as soon as possible,” the statement reads.
“We ask fans to wait for confirmed information, which will be communicated directly via our official channels.”
The renowned hip-hop festival made its Australian debut in 2019 with a lineup featuring the likes of Future, Lil Uzi Vert, Playboi Carti, Tyga, Smokepurpp, and local favourite Manu Crook$.
It was due to make its long-awaited return in 2024, but mere weeks after the announcement, the festival was indefinitely postponed. In October 2025, it announced its 2026 return, with the new two-day festival format.
The 2026 lineup features Gunna, Ken Carson, Sexyy Red, Tya, Swae Lee, Lil Tjay, Quavo, Hooligan Hefs, YNG Martyr, and more. It was also scheduled to have a dedicated local stage, spotlighting Australian and New Zealand hip-hop talent.
