Following a pair of new tunes in 2019, Australia’s Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever have returned with their latest track, sharing the video for “Cars In Space”.

Over the last few years, Melbourne’s Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever have been living the musical lifestyle that many of their contemporaries would dream of. Having raised some eyebrows with their 2016 EP Talk Tight, the group caught the attention of iconic US label Sub Pop, who released both their follow-up EP, The French Press, and their debut album, Hope Downs, in 2018.

The group’s steady output of material continued into 2019, releasing the double A-side “In the Capital” and “Read My Mind” following a constant stream of touring in the months beforehand.

Now, ahead of a run of local and international tour dates, Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever have returned with “Cars In Space”, sharing the summery new clip for the track in the process.

Directed by Nick McKinlay alongside assistant-director Julia Jacklin, the clip complements the slick, indie-rock provided by the outfit, with lyrics that describe “the swirling words and thoughts before a break-up.”

Though no information has been provided at the current time, one would assume this new single is serving as a taster of the group’s forthcoming second album. Local fans will get a chance to catch the group play the new track live during a run of dates across the following month, before they embark on a number of shows across the UK and Europe in May and June.
