The lineup for the 23rd edition of Rhythm and Vines has been revealed.

An impressive 49 acts feature on today’s first lineup release, which is led by three headliners: hip-hop icon Kid Cudi, hardcore punks Turnstile, and drum and bass star Wilkinson.

There’s also US rapper 070 Shake, UK electronic duo Maribou State, YouTuber and producer Marc Rebillet, and many more.

On the local front, the likes of indie pop band There’s a Tuesday, reggae rockers Corrella, Rolling Stone Aotearoa Awards winners L.A.B, and pop rock outfit Borderline represent New Zealand on the bill.

Check out the full initial lineup below.

Kid Cudi is a major booking for Rhythm and Vines, with the rapper and artist also set to headline Australian counterpart Beyond the Valley at the end of the year. Cudi will play the Victorian festival alongside big names like rising pop star Addison Rae, indie rockers Spacey Jane, and Rolling Stone AU/NZ cover star Dom Dolla.

Turnstile, who will also tear it up at Beyond the Valley, are Rhythm and Vines’ first-ever hardcore punk headliners. The Baltimore-born band have become a sensation in rock and punk circles in recent years, breaking into the mainstream with three nominations at the 2023 Grammy Awards.

Third headliner Wilkinson, meanwhile, needs no introduction to Aotearoa’s rabid drum and bass fanbase, with the English producer being a previous performer at Rhythm and Vines.

Around 100 acts are slated to perform at this year’s festival, so expect plenty more additions over the coming months.

Tickets to R&v 2025 go on sale to the general public on Thursday, August 28th at 10:30am local time. One NZ customers can access a 24-hour ticket offer until Wednesday, August 27th at 5:30pm local time, while R&V fans and subscribers can access an exclusive ticket offer from Wednesday, August 27th at 6:30pm.

Rhythm and Vines has welcomed over 375,000 visitors since 2003, becoming a rite of passage for young Kiwis over those 20-and-a-bit years.

“We work really hard all year to build this vision over a number of years to get to where we’ve got,” Rhythm and Vines co-founder Hamish Pinkham told Rolling Stone AU/NZ in 2023. “It’s not a surprise to see the crowd reaction because it’s something we’ve dreamt about and worked towards all year – it’s just the final cherry on top to see the artists entertain the masses.”

The most recent edition of Rhythm and Vines saw names like Ice Spice, Luude, SACHI, and RL Grime descend on Waiohika Estate.
