The Red Clay Strays will embark on a search for light within the darkness on their newly-announced album Made by These Moments. The country-rock band will release their second studio LP on July 26 featuring their most recent single “Wanna Be Loved.”
“Made by These Moments shines a light on overcoming the battles we face in life like loneliness, depression, and hopelessness,” Red Clay Strays frontman Brandon Coleman shared in a statement. “We hope you listen and recognize that our pain has a purpose.”
For their follow-up to 2022’s Moment of Truth, the Red Clay Strays recruited Nashville producer Dave Cobb, whose recent collaborators have included Zayn, Chris Stapleton, Jason Isbell, and Midland. “We all feel super led,” guitarist Zach Rishel told Rolling Stone earlier this year. “This is what we’re here to do — there’s no other purpose more important in our lives than making this band the biggest and best thing it can be.”
The record will also take them on an expansive North American tour kicking off in July and extending through November. The Red Clay Strays will be joined on select tour dates by Taylor Hunnicutt and Aaron Raitiere, Nolan Taylor and the Castellows, Pony Bradshaw and Ben Chapman, Bella White, Grace Bowers & the Hodge Podge, the Glorious Sons, Black Pistol Fire, Tanner Usrey, and the Moss.
“It’s self-expression. I sing every song a little differently each night, depending on the show and how I’m feeling,” Coleman told Rolling Stone. “I don’t really jam with the band onstage because I’m locked into the crowd. And that’s how you know when you have a good band — [they’re] holding it down and you can just focus on the crowd.”
