Post Malone’s ex fiancée has dropped her court petition for custody over their three-year-old daughter, according to court records obtained by Rolling Stone.

Post Malone, real name Austin Post, and Hee Sung “Jamie” Park, who had a child together in 2022, have been battling over custody since April. At that time, Park filed for custody in Los Angeles Superior Court, requesting primary physical custody of their daughter and referring to her child with Post Malone only by her initials, DDP. Park sought joint legal custody and was willing to give Malone visitation rights.

A separate, related filing that Rolling Stone previously obtained showed Park listed that their child had been living solely with her since November 2024. Before that, Park wrote that their daughter had lived with both parents between her birth on May 26, 2022, and November 2024.

Meanwhile, Post filed his own custody case in Utah, where he claims their daughter has resided for most of her life and where he said she should remain. In May, lawyers for Post filed a motion to dismiss Park’s California petition citing unfair “gamesmanship” and the parties were set for a hearing next week; the court records in the Utah case are sealed, as Billboard notes.

Reps for Park and Post did not immediately respond to Rolling Stone’s request for comment.

Per the new petition filed by Park on Monday, Park filed for dismissal with prejudice, which means the parties agree that it cannot be refiled. However, per the paperwork, “family law does not dismiss with prejudice” meaning with or without prejudice does not apply to family law. The custody battle could potentially continue to be litigated in Utah.
