Phoebe Bridgers is back at The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, this time for a surprise performance of “Lost Boys (Acoustic).”

The singer-songwriter returned to New York City’s Rockefeller Center just 24 hours after her performance on Tuesday, when she performed “Lost Boys” alongside young musicians ranging from eight to 14 years old. For the acoustic rendition — which she formally released tonight — she performed with a band of veteran musicians.

Bridgers released “Lost Boys” last month, with a Renaissance faire-themed video that featured actor Skyler Gisondo as a gas station cashier. Her boygenius bandmates Lucy Dacus and Julien Baker provided backing vocals on the single, while Bridgers co-produced it alongside Jack Antonoff and her longtime collaborators Tony Berg and Ethan Gruska (Alex G also assisted with additional production).

The single is the first taste of Lost Weekend, out Aug. 14 via Dead Oceans, three days before the songwriter’s 32nd birthday. It’s her first new solo album in six years, following 2020’s Punisher. One month after the album release, she’ll embark on the Lost Tour, kicking off on Sept. 15 in Indianapolis, Indiana. Here’s everything we know about Lost Weekend.

“I want to listen to music where nobody’s ever said the exact way that I’ve felt,” Bridgers told us in 2020. “And then I listen to it, and I’m like, ‘Holy shit, they nailed it.’ I hope I’m doing that for people.”
