PARK RD have returned with their first single of the year, “Every Night”.

An indie-pop anthem, “Every Night” feels tailor-made for singalongs on the live stage. With its jangly, summer-infused guitars and a chorus that practically begs for a call-and-response, the Auckland band has honed their performance skills while opening for acts like Milky Chance in recent months.

The breezy, up-tempo track draws inspiration from the likes of The 1975 and Spacey Jane, two bands PARK RD consistently seem to channel in their sound.

“She goes out like every night, on my mind like all the time,” frontman Tom Chamberlain croons on the lovestruck chorus. Ah, young love.

The song comes with not one, but two video accompaniments. First up, we have the theatrical music video, because why just sing when you can put on a whole production? There’s also a live performance video recorded at Auckland’s Real Groovy Records.

“Every Night” follows a series of releases from the five-piece band in 2023, including guitar-driven indie anthems like “Secrets” and “Save the Planet”, as well as the more mellow and dreamy “Ride.”

PARK RD fans can anticipate all these tracks appearing on the band’s debut album, set for release in mid-2024. Following their well-received 2022 EP, Stupid Stories, this upcoming record, still untitled, marks their next musical chapter.

The band is gearing up for an eventful year, with a support slot for American rock band The Band CAMINO on March 7th at The Powerstation, building on their successful debut Australian shows in late 2023.

They’ve also polished and fine-tuned their live performances, gracing the stages of festivals like SXSW Sydney, Rhythm & Vines, Soundsplash, and Le Currents. Plus, they’ve shared stages with acts like Milky Chance, Spacey Jane, and Summer Thieves.
