When Paris Hilton sat down with Rolling Stone for a profile last year, she revealed that friends Miley Cyrus and Meghan Trainor were among the artists to send her possible demos to record for her upcoming album. On Tuesday, Rolling Stone can exclusively announce that Hilton and Trainor will drop “Chasin’” on July 26.

“I started working on this song years ago and knew I had to save it for someone very special. Paris brought it to a whole new level,” Trainor tells Rolling Stone. “She is my hero, my idol, and I can’t believe I get to be friends with her.”

The poppy, reggaeton-laced song will hear the pair of musicians singing to a partner who isn’t willing to match their love and energy. Hilton tells Rolling Stone she was “blown away” by Trainor’s songwriting on the track, which is available to pre-save.

“[She] put into words an experience that was so true for me; that time in your life when you find the confidence, power, and self-love, to walk away from toxic relationships and move forward with your life,” Hilton says. “Meghan has become a sister to me. I feel so lucky we’ve gotten to collaborate in all these fun and special ways. And now the world gets to hear our song!”

“She is the sister I always needed and when she calls me sis, I die of happiness inside,” adds Trainor. “We made something truly iconic together and it was a bucket list dream come true for me.”

“It means so much to me to bring this message to my fans through another summer bop that everyone will be blasting,” said Hilton.

The new track will follow Hilton’s self-empowering collab with Rina Sawayama, “I’m Free,” which released in late June. Both songs are set to be featured on the “Stars Are Blind” singer’s second album, Infinite Icon, which is slated for Sept. 6.

Hilton also dropped “Fame Won’t Love You” with Sia back in April. She told Rolling Stone she was “instantly inspired and knew we had to make a record” after she recorded her song “Hot One” in 2023 with Alex Chapman. “We went into Sunset Sound Studio and ended up recording 3 songs in just one day! It was magic!” she said at the time.

As for Trainor, the singer released her album Timeless, featuring singles “Been Like This” with T-Pain, “To the Moon,” and “Whoops,” last month. “I want them to listen to the self-love anthems and hopefully that helps them,” Trainor said about the LP upon its release. “I hope it makes [people] smile.”
