Odd Mob has been given the honour of being the first artist to officially rework Sean Paul’s global hit, “Get Busy”.

But the Brisbane-based Australian DJ’s official remix had humble beginnings. “Crazy to see a cheeky little bootleg I made for my sets recently is getting an official release!” Odd Mob says.

“This rework is completely carefree and doesn’t take itself too seriously at all. Simple, a bit speedy, and a bit silly.”

“Get Busy – Odd Mob Club Mix” has been a fan favourite in the DJ’s live sets for the past year, including at Coachella, Hard Summer, and more festivals. Notable DJs and producers also threw their support behind Odd Mob’s mix, including Fisher, Diplo, and Dom Dolla.

Odd Mob fans will have plenty of opportunities to hear his Sean Paul remix up close, with the Aussie DJ set to perform in the US, Germany, Belgium, and more countries over the coming months. Closer to home, Odd Mob is set to appear at Queenstown’s Mardi Gras alongside Elipsa, Cyril, and at the end of June.

Odd Mob is the alias of Brisbane-based Harry Hope, who scored a festival hit in 2022 with “LEFT TO RIGHT”, which drew support from the likes of Skrillex, Fred again.., and Diplo and Dom Dolla again. Recent tracks such as “XTC”, “All Day, All Night”, and “Losing Control” have all helped Odd Mob to surpass 50 million streams online.

Odd Mob might think his track is “a bit silly,” but it’s also a big deal: it’s the first official remake of “Get Busy” that’s ever been cleared by Sean Paul.

The dancehall legend released the original “Get Busy” in January 2003, and it would go onto top charts around the world, including the US Billboard Hot 100. In Australia, “Get Busy” reached #4 on the ARIA Albums Chart.
