Ocean Alley Announce Rescheduled Australian Tour Dates

Originally slated to kick off in May of 2020, Ocean Alley have pushed back their February dates to August of 2021.

Just over two months out from the beginning of their rescheduled Australian tour, Northern Beaches outfit Ocean Alley have once again been forced to postpone the commencement of their Australian tour.

Originally set to begin in May of 2020 in support of their then-forthcoming album Lonely Diamond, the sextet rescheduled their run of dates until February of 2021 following the announcement of restrictions on gatherings.

Since then, the group’s new album arrived, peaked at number three on the ARIA charts, and was followed by a “Live in Studio” premiere of the record. However, as both fans and band get eager for the group to return to the live stage, Ocean Alley have once again announced that their upcoming tour has been postponed.

“The recent easing of COVID restrictions definitely signals hope for the wider entertainment industry after what’s been a difficult year for all,” the group explained in a statement. “While things are moving in a positive direction, there are still huge variances state-by-state in what is possible across inside and outdoor venues.

In light of this, we will be rescheduling our Australian Tour that was due to kick off in February next year until August 2021. It’s not a decision that we’ve made lightly – we appreciate that these shows have been a long time coming, and it may seem confusing given the positivity around recent seated shows that have taken place or been announced.

“We have been creating the best possible live experience for this tour, and we want you to experience these shows in the way they’re intended… a room full of people, dancing shoulder to shoulder.”

Now set to begin in August of 2021, the rescheduled dates see the band kicking things off in Melbourne before shows in Adelaide, Brisbane, Sydney, and Fremantle. While many shows on the tour are now sold out, a newly-announced date for Brisbane’s Fortitude Music Hall has been added, with tickets on sale from 10am AEDT on Friday, December 11th.
