Ocean Alley are levelling up. The beloved Northern Beaches six-piece have just announced their biggest Australian headline shows to date, locked in for summer 2026 and in support of their upcoming fifth studio album Love Balloon.
The run kicks off at Melbourne’s Catani Gardens on January 24th, followed by Brisbane Showgrounds on January 30th and The Domain in Sydney on January 31st. The west coast dates will see the band take over Fremantle’s Freo Esplanade on February 21st and wrap up at Margaret River’s 3 Oceans Winery on February 22nd, before the band heads to Auckland’s Spark Arena on February 27th.
They’re bringing serious firepower with them. UK alt-rock heavyweights Nothing But Thieves and US genre-blenders Rainbow Kitten Surprise will join all east coast dates, alongside Aussie indie-punk artist Ruby Fields. Over in WA, Fields sticks around, joined by Byron garage heroes Skegss and Perth’s dreamy indie-pop outfit Smol Fish. Skegss will open the show in Auckland with Sydney soul man Don West.
The tour will land hot on the heels of Love Balloon, due out September 19th. The album’s title track has already dropped, a disco-tinged groove brimming with funk guitars, pulsating basslines, and that sun-drenched Ocean Alley sound fans have come to love. Produced by Nick DiDia (Springsteen, Powderfinger, Rage Against the Machine), the album promises a stripped-back but emotionally rich journey through life, love, and connection.
Known for their expansive live sets and psych-laced jams, Ocean Alley have clocked over a billion streams and built a reputation as one of Australia’s most magnetic live acts. Their last local headline tour sold out in 2023/24, and 2025 will see them hit a string of international festivals — Lollapalooza, Sziget and Austin City Limits among them — plus a debut run through Latin America and their biggest show yet at London’s 10,000-capacity Alexandra Palace.
