The 2026 edition of NYE on the Hill Festival will be the last.
In a statement released today, organisers of the Victorian event confirmed the news, dubbing this year’s final event “the last hill.”
“All great things must come to an end, but the memories will live on forever,” the statement reads.
“This NYE on the Hill will be the 23rd ‘Party on the Hill’. What started as a little invite-only shindig for a bunch of Melbourne bands and their friends back in 2009 went on to become more than we could have ever imagined. This NYE will be one of the best parties the hill has seen and we’re going to go out on an absolute high. Leave the party when it’s at its best as they say.
“Over 600 bands and more than 2,500 musicians and performers have graced the Hill throughout this journey, many for whom it was their first ever festival performance.
So many friendships have started on the hill. So many friendships have continued well beyond the hill.
Thanks to every single person involved in The Hills Are Alive/NYE on the Hill journey. We hope that anyone that has connected with the Hill over the years can come and join us in celebrating this amazing event, community and location one last time!

The final NYE on the Hill lineup boasts the likes of Ball Park Music, Boy Soda, The Rions, REDD and Old Mervs.
