Just hours after Changing Tides festival announced its cancellation, it can now be revealed that one of its headliners, Noah Cyrus, has called off her Australian shows.

The US singer was scheduled to perform three dates in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane next month, in addition to her Changing Tides set. However, in an email sent to ticket holders to the headline shows, seen by Rolling Stone AU/NZ, those concerts will not be going ahead.

“We regret to announce that Noah Cyrus’ upcoming Australian tour, originally scheduled for November 2025, will no longer proceed due to the cancellation of the 2025 Changing Tides Festival, which was set to be the cornerstone of her visit to Australia,” the email reads.

Refunds to the three headline shows are now being processed. Rolling Stone AU/NZ has contacted promoters for comment.

In a statement provided to Rolling Stone AU/NZ, Changing Tides organisers explained the cancellation:

“We regret to announce that Changing Tides Festival 2025 has been cancelled and will not be returning in future years.

“This decision has not been made lightly and follows careful consideration. While we are truly devastated to bring this chapter to a close, we remain incredibly grateful for the love, excitement, and support the festival has received since its inception.

“From day one, our goal was to deliver a vibrant and inclusive coastal experience – and thanks to our artists, crew, partners, and audience, we were able to bring that vision to life and create beautiful memories in Kiama.”

Changing Tides 2025 had prepared a big lineup, featuring some of the biggest names in Australian and global music. Sam Fender, Noah Cyrus, The Rubens, MAY-A, and many more were set to descend on the festival this year.

As of this writing, Fender’s own headline shows slated for mid-November are still going ahead despite the festival cancellation. Rolling Stone AU/NZ has contacted promoters for comment.
