Ministry of Sound has announced the return of its Summer Dance Festival to Australia this December, marking its biggest national tour to date.
Spanning five dates across four cities, the festival will take over some of the country’s favourite outdoor venues for a day-to-night experience anchored by live orchestral performance and an international DJ lineup.
Confirmed venues include HOTA Parklands on the Gold Coast, The Domain in Sydney, Kings Park & Botanic Garden in Perth, and Sidney Myer Music Bowl in Melbourne.
At the centrepiece of it all is CLASSICAL. Performed by the Ministry of Sound Orchestra under the baton of award-winning conductor Vanessa Perica, CLASSICAL takes the anthems that defined a generation of dancefloors and remixes, rearranges and reimagines them with full orchestral power. Backing Perica is DJ Groove Terminator.
The vocalist lineup is also stacked. ARIA Award nominee Reigan leads the charge, alongside Karina Chavez — whose name is synonymous with the eternal “Show Me Love” — Rudy (of TV Rock’s “In The Air”), the CLASSICAL tour favourite Lady Lyric, and The Voice alumnus Luke Antony.
The festival will also boast some huge international DJs, including Roger Sanchez, Seb Fontaine, and French duo Braxe + Falcon.
First release general public tickets go on sale at 12pm AEST on Wednesday, June 3rd. Click here for more details and check out the dates below.
