Megan Thee Stallion doesn’t do anything halfway, and her Coachella performance was an example of how she gives everything to her fans. The star-studded, high-production spectacle included guest appearances from Queen Latifah, Victoria Monét, and Ciara — and even though Megan briefly faced a technical glitch, she barely blinked and kept moving like a pro.

She took the stage surrounded by dancers clad in leather jackets and cowboy hats, all a nod to her Texas roots as she rapped “Ungrateful” and “Thot Shit.” Megan wore a fur coat, which two of her dancers removed, revealing a leather two-piece suit that made the crowd cheer as Megan performed intricate choreography.

Megan nailed every move and never seemed to tire, but partway through, she did seem to try and fix a microphone wire that had fallen. “Somebody come out here and fix my motherfucking mic!” she called out. Quickly, the issue was addressed, and Megan kept right on going.

Plus, there was too much excitement during her set for it to matter. In addition to the precision of her choreography, Megan had a bunch of female guests lined up, making her performance an empowered one. Her dancers stood in formation and slowly jumped away one by one to reveal Queen Latifah, who rolled through with a mic in hand and rapped through “Plan B” and “Unity.” Megan raised her hands in the air and greeted the hip hop icon with a hug.

Victoria Monet made a surprise appearance for “Spin” and “On My Mama,” her warm vocals curling through the stage as she danced and playfully grinded on Megan. It felt like Megan was acknowledging both new- and old-school legends in hip hop and R&B; toward the end of the set, Ciara joined in on the choreography, nailing moves alongside Megan and performing “Roc Steady” and “Goodies.” Megan seemed overcome with emotion as they hugged. “I love you Meg and I’m so proud of you!” Ciara shouted before leaving.

Megan was tearful for a second and seemed to gather herself for a few moments onstage. However, as “Mamushi” started, her mic seemed to have issues again. “Don’t do the hotties like that,” she said, asking the audio tram to run the song back. Then she shouted, “Bitch, they said we gotta go!” and performed a few seconds of choreography before stepping offstage. “Hotties, I gotta go — I love y’all and thank y’all!”
