Eurovision Song Contest winners Måneskin have added their first Australian headline shows to an already stacked international schedule.
The Italian band will play four shows in a whirlwind visit later this year, kicking off the Australian leg in Brisbane on Monday, 20th November and moving through Sydney and Melbourne before finishing up in Adelaide on Saturday, 25th November.
“We can’t wait to come to Australia, it will be the first time for all of us so we’re pretty much curious about everything, especially the crowd,” the band said in a statement. “It feels crazy to finally be able to meet our fans there!”
The extensive world tour celebrates the band’s third album RUSH!, which was released in January to somewhat mixed critical reviews.
Despite this, the band enjoyed impressive chart success, reaching #1 in 15 countries and Top 5 in 20 countries, and garnering over 800 million global album streams, adding to the band’s impressive 7.3 billion global artist streams.
Måneskin shot to international fame after winning Eurovision in the Netherlands in 2021 with their song “Zitti e buoni” but were already popular in their home country after placing second on the Italian version of X Factor in 2017.
Nominated for Best New Artist at the 2023 Grammys, Måneskin have proven themselves a dominant force, selling over 500,000 tickets to their current LOUD KIDS tour and playing headline arena shows across the US and Canada, including a landmark show at New York’s Madison Square Garden.
The band has also performed on multiple festival stages, from Coachella, Rock in Rio, Lollapalooza in the USA to Europe’s Rock Im Park, Rock Am Ring and Rock Wertcher, as well as Summer Sonic in Japan.
Notorious for their energy on stage, Måneskin are excited to visit Australia for the first time.
“We want to thank our fans in Australia, we are coming for you! Expect fire, stage smashings and lots of sweat!”
