Lisa and Rosalía have broken the internet with their new collaboration “New Woman.” The song was co-written by Tove Lo and is part of the Blackpink star’s new rollout of solo music.

In the surreal music video for the track, the duo are intertwined and appear to showcase different sides of the same prismatic coin. “Hit it when I serve/Bitch, you better swerve/Revving up my aura/Focus on my mind/Taking my time/I’m a new woman,” declares Lisa on the song’s chorus.

Forever exuding cool and draped in a sheer, breezy fit, Rosalía sings: “I hit it hard/It comes out really confident/I rev up my aura/I’m focused, not pressed.”

The pair have been teasing the song on social media all week, sharing clips from the video and photos together. They appear to have been wanting to collaborate for many years: In a 2022 interview, Rosalía made it clear that she was a huge fan of the Korean rapper. “I love Lisa. I’m a fan of hers,” she said. “To me, I love her. She dances so well and is so talented.”

Similarly, Lisa gushed about Rosalía in her interview with Rolling Stone that same year. “Rosalía is so cool. She has her own Spanish culture, that’s inside her person, that influences her music,” she said. “I’m curious to know how much I can expand what I do. Music-wise, dance-wise, I feel like I still have to learn more.”

For Lisa, “New Woman” follows “Rockstar,” the clubby single she dropped in June and her first solo release outside of the group in three years. She’s been teasing an album under her new contract with RCA Records. Meanwhile, this is Rosalía’s first single this year, though she teased more music on social media recently. Her third album Motomami, which won Grammy and Latin Grammy awards, was released in 2022. She also shared a collaboration with Bjork and a joint EP with ex-boyfriend Rauw Alejandro in 2023.
