Lily Allen has been forced to cancel her Auckland concert tonight (Wednesday, October 21st) after falling ill with a viral infection.
The British singer-songwriter was due to kick off the Australian and New Zealand leg of her ‘Lily Allen performs West End Girl’ tour at Auckland’s Spark Arena, but took to Instagram just hours before the show to share the disappointing news.
“To my West End Girls in Auckland, I am so sorry to have to tell you that I have come down with a viral infection and am unable to perform tonight,” Allen write in a statement shared to her Instagram Stories.
“I was really looking forward to seeing you all and am absolutely gutted to be letting you down. For those who traveled all the way here, please accept my apology.
“All tickets will be refunded and I hope to be able to come back to see you soon. Thank you so much for understanding.”

Promoter Frontier Touring has confirmed the cancellation, advising that Allen is unable to perform following medical advice.
Ticket holders will automatically receive a refund to their original payment method within 14-21 days, depending on their bank’s processing time.
The Auckland performance was set to mark Allen’s first show in New Zealand since 2019, which she toured in support of her 2018 album, No Shame.
The highly anticipated arena tour supports her critically acclaimed 2025 album West End Girl, which Allen is performing in its entirety, in the order the songs appear on the record.
The deeply personal album, which explores the breakdown of her marriage, earned a four-star review from Rolling Stone, which praised the singer for turning “a painful marriage into a powerful album.”
Allen’s Australian tour is currently scheduled to behind at Brisbane’s Entertainment Centre on Friday, October 23rd, before heading to Sydney, Melbourne and Perth.
No changes to the Australian dates have been announced at the time of writing.
The news comes just one day after La Roux was forced to cancel her opening set for Hilary Duff in Auckland, also due to illness.
