Joe Keery, known to most as the beloved Steve Harrington from Stranger Things, has been announced as a surprise act for Laneway Festival 2025.

In a thrilling last-minute addition, Keery’s psychedelic synth-pop project, Djo, has been confirmed as the latest act joining an already stacked lineup. And yes, you’ve probably heard Djo’s viral TikTok hit, which features the recognisable lyrics, “Just trust me, you’ll be fine,” which has been making waves across the net.

The announcement marks Djo’s first-ever live performances in Australia and New Zealand, giving local audiences a chance to experience his hypnotic sounds in person, including tracks like the Platinum-certified “End of the Beginning.” Fans have long known Keery’s acting chops, but his musical alter ego, Djo, showcases his impressive range as an artist.

Mixing elements of synth-pop, rock, and experimental sounds, Djo’s live set promises to bring something fresh and eclectic to Laneway’s 2025 edition.

This isn’t the only exciting news Laneway Festival is bringing. In a shake-up for the Sydney leg, the venue is shifting to Centennial Park, offering festival-goers a lush, expansive new space to enjoy the event. The park’s iconic greenery and open atmosphere will serve as the perfect backdrop for a day filled with great tunes.

Tickets for Laneway Festival 2025 go on pre-sale tomorrow at 10 a.m. (local time) in each city, so you better get in early because demand is expected to be high.

Laneway has already shared that they’ve received more registrations than available tickets, so don’t sleep on it.

In addition to Djo, the lineup features powerhouse names like Charli XCX, Clairo, Beabadoobee, Remi Wolf, and many more, creating a genre-spanning mix that provides a beat for every festival-goer. As always, Laneway is shaping up to be one of the must-see events of the (brat) summer.

Mark your calendars and get ready to see Djo, along with an incredible lineup of artists, take over Laneway Festival stages across Australia and New Zealand next February.
