Ladyhawke is set to celebrate the 15th anniversary of her self-titled debut album with an Australian tour this year.

The New Zealand singer-songwriter’s tour kicks off at The Gov in Adelaide on July 26th, followed by a stop at Fremantle’s Freo.Social on July 27th and then the Princess Theatre in Brisbane on August 1st. The tour will then head to Sydney’s Metro Theatre on August 2nd before wrapping up at Northcote Theatre in Melbourne on August 3rd.

After finding some success with Wellington band Two Lane Blacktop and then Sydney act Teenager, a side project of Nick Littlemore’s PNAU, Ladyhawke – AKA Pip Brown – burst into the mainstream spotlight with her self-titled debut album as Ladyhawke in 2008.

The album featured stylish pop-rock anthems like “My Delirium” and “Paris Is Burning”, cleverly blending 80s influences with modern indie rock.

It reached number one on the New Zealand Albums Chart and the top 20 in Australia, sweeping up at the 2009 New Zealand Music Awards. Recognition from the UK soon followed, including a nomination for Best International Artist at the BRITs.

The upcoming tour follows the release of her latest album, 2021’s Time Flies, as well as health battles. (“I feel lucky to be alive and making music,” she told The Guardian in 2021.)
