So that’s why Jenna Ortega wouldn’t fill us in on Lady Gaga’s involvement in the new season of Wednesday.

In a recent interview with Rolling Stone AU/NZ, the star of the Netflix show remained tight-lipped on how exactly Gaga is involved in the part two of Season 2, but it’s all becoming clear. The Grammy Award-winning artist has confirmed that her new song, “The Dead Dance”, will drop on September 3rd, the same day as part two of Wednesday hits Netflix.

On Friday, Gaga reposted a photo of herself on X at Spotify and Netflix’s Wednesday Graveyard Gala in New York with the caption“DO THE DEAD DANCE! Sept 3.”

I had a wonderful time working on Wednesday Season Two, even just being a small part of the show,” she told the crowd at the New York event.

“I loved working with Tim Burton and Jenna and everyone here, it’s so incredible. Thank you.

“I’m also here to confirm my song ‘The Dead Dance’ is coming.”

Fans are still hoping that Gaga will make an appearance in the new season.

In the chat with Rolling Stone AU/NZ, Ortega discussed first joining the Netflix series and feeling like she was in a “complete panic”.

“I felt like I hadn’t really found her yet or I was a bit confused or things that I thought that I wanted to go with, I didn’t want to go with more on the day. It was just experimenting and falling on my face for the first time for a couple of weeks and [points to Burton] you wouldn’t give me a lot of feedback,” she said.

“It was scary to me because I couldn’t tell if I was anywhere close to something that was right or felt right to all of us. But he was giving me space to express myself and express the character the way that I wanted to and for that I’m really grateful. I was very honest with you about my feelings or, kind of, confusion, but you always made sure…  I never felt pressure from you and it felt very comfortable and understood and that was a great relief.”

Meanwhile, Gaga is touring the US with her ‘MAYHEM Ball’ show, which is scheduled to hit Australia in December.
