Kylie Minogue has done it again. With her latest LP, Tension II, debuting at #1 on the ARIA Albums Chart, published Friday, October 25th, the pop icon has secured her ninth leader on home soil.

Tension II arrives as a dancefloor-ready sequel to her 2023 album, Tension – which also went to #1 on the ARIA Chart – featuring a blend of electropop earworms. The album’s lead single, “Lights Camera Action,” and tracks like “Edge of Saturday Night” (featuring The Blessed Madonna) add to the album’s dance-floor appeal, while high-profile collaborations with artists such as Orville Peck, Bebe Rexha, Tove Lo, and Sia adding even more star power.

In her own words, Kylie calls Tension II a continuation of an era she’s been thrilled to explore. “The Tension era has been so special to me… I can’t possibly let it be over just yet! Welcome to Tension II.”

Released via Mushroom Music, the album has already claimed multiple top spots, including the #1 Australian Album and #1 Vinyl Album.

In the U.K., where it’s released through BMG, Tension II is predicted to debut at No. 1 for Kylie’s 10th #1 there.

Following the collection’s success, Kylie is set to embark on her highly anticipated Tension World Tour in early 2025, marking her biggest tour in over a decade. Australian fans will be the first to experience the tour, with shows set to launch in February.

Kylie is in the finest of form. Earlier this year, she collected the Global Icon Award at the BRIT Awards, becoming just the second woman to win it following Taylor Swift in 2021.

Also, she nabbed a Grammy Award (best pop dance recording) for “Padam Padam,” completed her inaugural Las Vegas Residency, and signed with United Talent Agency (UTA) for live representation in the U.S. and Canada and acting roles worldwide.
