Kylie Minogue closed out Outloud Fest at West Hollywood Pride Sunday night with a special guest — and a new song. The Australian pop icon brought out Orville Peck for the live debut of their new collaboration, “Midnight Ride,” out this Friday.
The two thrilled the crowd with the country-meets-disco jam as Diplo DJ’d onstage. “Let me take you on a midnight ride, baby you and I,” Minogue sings on the track set to be featured on Peck’s upcoming album Stampede. The pair matched with black country outfits as Minogue rocked shiny, silver fringe, and Peck rocked a silver-encrusted cowboy hat.
Peck’s surprise appearance came midway through Minogue’s hour-long set. Accompanied by two background singers and a handful of dancers, Minogue ran through a tight set of her biggest hits, including “All the Lovers,” “Slow,” “Spinning Around,” “In Your Eyes” and a final one-two punch of “Padam Padam” and “Can’t Get You Out of My Head.”

“We’re going to do a lot of singing tonight,” the pop star said early in the set, as she greeted the thousands of people in attendance at West Hollywood Park, many of whom had camped out since early that afternoon. Minogue thanked her fans for their continued support and acknowledged the importance of the occasion, saying she was grateful that “we can all be ourselves all together tonight.”
As part of the weekend’s festivities, West Hollywood Mayor John M. Erickson declared June 2 to be “Kylie Minogue Day,” appearing on stage to present the singer with a street sign bearing her name. “I’ve been coming to WeHo forever,” Minogue told the crowd, adding that she’s often at the bars and clubs incognito. “If you see a really short person with a baseball cap and really plain look, that’s me,” she quipped.
Minogue’s headlining set followed an appearance from Bebe Rexha on the main stage for a performance of “I’m the Drama” and her David Guetta hit, “I’m Blue” with Diplo. Other performers Sunday night included Big Freedia, Ashnikko, Vincint, and Destiny Rogers.
Kesha headlined Friday night’s festivities as she celebrated her “first show as a free motherfucking woman.” Janelle Monáe and Purple Disco Machine led the festival on Saturday night. The West Hollywood Pride Parade celebrated Cyndi Lauper as a Lifetime Ally Icon with appearances from Kehlani and Lizzo.
