Kylie Minogue rocked out the MCG on Saturday for the AFL Grand Final pregame show, ahead of the clash between the Brisbane Lions and Fremantle Dockers.
The Australian pop icon treated the crowd to a career-spanning set featuring fan favourites including “Spinning Around”, “Slow”, “All the Lovers”, “On a Night Like This”, and, of course, Rolling Stone AU/NZ’s best Australian song of the 21st century, “Can’t Get You Out of My Head”.
Minogue opened her set with “Love at First Sight”, before making her way through the string of hits spanning more than three decades.
But it wasn’t just her commanding the stage, with G Flip joining her for a rendition of “Padam Padam”, while comedy duo The Inspired Unemployed made a surprise appearance during “The Loco-Motion”.
Dom Dolla also got in on the action, making an appearance as Minogue’s aircraft marshaller before she launched into “Can’t Get You Out of My Head”, which incorporated a remix by the Melbourne DJ. Another highlight came courtesy of acclaimed Australian musician William Barton, who joined Minogue on stage for a special collaboration.

Earlier in the afternoon, G Flip kicked off the pregame entertainment with their viral hit “Bed on Fire” and “Worst Person Alive”, before returning to the stage alongside Minogue. The lineup also featured Mike Brady performing the AFL anthem “Up There Cazaly”, while Michael Paynter was enlisted to sing the national anthem.
