Australian singer-songwriter Kita Alexander has announced her highly anticipated second album Rage, led by the title track, out as a single today.
The forthcoming album, due out June 26th via Warner Music Australia, traces an intimate story of Alexander’s personal journey with rage. Anchored by her signature honest songwriting and infectious melodies, Rage permits listeners to feel, process, and to make meaning of their emotions.
“Rage has been the catalyst of positive change in my life over the last couple of years. The album is about an emotion I’ve always had but never understood,” she shared. “It’s me looking at it and embracing it as a new friend and realising that I don’t have to shut it down or avoid looking at it.
“An emotion that is usually seen as ugly or wrong has helped me have the confidence to create necessary change in my life that I was otherwise scared of doing. Rage has helped me find what truly matters to me and to change my life in ways that work for me.”
The title track has been released as a single today. Alexander said it was the most healing song from the album to create: “I realised it was the most powerful connection to my rage that I’ve ever had.”
The official music video, directed and shot by Roman Anastasios (JACOTÉNE, Charley), is a raw one-take filmed in Byron Bay that captures the song’s journey of healing and Alexander’s deep connection with rage.

Rage arrives two years after Alexander’s highly-acclaimed debut album Young in Love, which debuted at No. 3 on the ARIA Australian Album Chart and sparked a sold-out national tour. Her grand pop ambition received wide-spread acclaim, as well as a 2024 ARIA nomination for the Michael Gudinski Breakthrough Award.
In the same year, she was ARIA nominated alongside FISHER for Song of the Year, Best Dance/Electronic Release and Best Produced Release for their co-write “Atmosphere”, which shot to No. 1 on the US Radio Dance Chart and is 2 x ARIA Platinum certification.
