ARIA-nominated pop artist Kita Alexander has shared her healing new single “Press Pause”, days after revealing her Australasia support slot with Dua Lipa.

“‘Press Pause’ is about the quiet power of being present for someone when their world feels like it’s falling apart,” Alexander says. “It’s not about fixing things or promising it’ll all be okay — it’s about holding space, staying still, and letting them know they’re not alone in the chaos.”

Alexander announced the premiere of “Press Pause” on social media, where she was seen wearing a red outfit while kneeling upon the sand. The single artwork follows suit.

A few days ago, she shared that her path is crossing once again with Dua Lipa as the support for the latter’s ‘Radical Optimism’ tour of Australia and New Zealand. Alexander will open for the three-time Grammy and seven-time BRIT Award winner from this month.

Alexander earlier posted on social media how she first met the now English-Albanian superstar as a young adult, when they were signed to the same management.

“I truly feel so lucky to have the opportunity to share my songs with fans, old and new, across Australia and New Zealand,” she said. “March and April is going to be such a party.”

Kita Alexander’s “Press Pause” is out now.
