Kita Alexander will take her new album Rage on tour across Australia later this year.
The forthcoming album, due out June 26th via Warner Music Australia, traces an intimate story of Alexander’s personal journey with rage. Anchored by the ARIA nominated singer-songwriter’s signature honest writing and infectious melodies, Rage permits listeners to feel, process, and to make meaning of their emotions.
“It’s not an obvious rage,” she told Rolling Stone AU/NZ in a recent interview. “It’s not a screamo record.” Instead, this is pop with friction. “People can listen to this music and switch off their ears and not dive into lyrics… and still have a good time. Or, they can listen to the lyrics… and become introspective.”
In February, Alexander released the album’s title track “Rage”, describing it as the most healing song to create: “I realised it was the most powerful connection to my rage that I’ve ever had.” She also recently released “The Good House”, the first track, and will release a third song “Tell My Friends” this Friday (April 24th).
To celebrate Rage‘s release, Alexander will be heading off on tour, kicking off at Melbourne’s Northcote Theatre on September 12th, followed by shows in Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide, and Perth. After that, she’ll head to Europe and the UK for a run of shows.

Rage arrives two years after Alexander’s highly-acclaimed debut album Young in Love, which debuted at No. 3 on the ARIA Australian Album Chart and sparked a sold-out national tour. Her grand pop ambition received wide-spread acclaim, as well as a 2024 ARIA nomination for the Michael Gudinski Breakthrough Award.

In the same year, she was ARIA nominated alongside FISHER for Song of the Year, Best Dance/Electronic Release and Best Produced Release for their co-write “Atmosphere”, which shot to No. 1 on the US Radio Dance Chart and is 2 x ARIA Platinum certification.
