Kings of Leon have announced new dates for their October and November Australian tour, including a special regional show in Mildura.
Originally meant to begin at Sydney’s Qudos Bank Arena on Monday, October 31st, the US rockers will now head to Mildura Sporting Precinct in Victoria on Saturday, October 29th. They’ll then head to Brisbane and Melbourne, before concluding the tour at Perth’s RAC Arena on Wednesday, November 9th. Currently only the two Melbourne dates are sold out.
Tickets to the special regional Mildura show go on sale on Tuesday, May 3rd at 12pm via TEG Dainty. Tickets for all the other dates are on sale now.
They should expect a warm welcome in Australia: in 2008, Kings of Leon’s Only by the Night was the country’s best-selling album of the year. Their most recent album, When You See Yourself, also topped the ARIA Albums Chart last year.
“As a band, we feed off the energy our audiences bring and the last time we toured Australia the atmosphere was electric. We can’t wait to get back down there and perform for you all again!” Caleb Followill said about the upcoming tour.
“Australia! Kings of Leon are coming back. We’re so excited, it’s been way too long, we cannot wait to get back with you guys and have a little rock and/or roll. Get your tickets, come out, dance with us. It’s going to be a party,” Nathan Followill added.
