Kendrick Lamar isn’t done with dominating the ARIA Singles Chart.
The U.S. hip-hop star enters a second consecutive week at #1 with “Not Like Us,” his fiery Drake diss track, one Lamar’s three tracks in the top 10. Also, “Luther” lifts 8-2, a new peak position, while his former #2 hit “All The Stars” with SZA improves 22-8. GNX track “tv off” rises 16-12 on the latest chart, published Friday, February 21st.
K.Dot is enjoying a hot start to the year, with a huge haul at the Grammy Awards in his hometown, where he collected a night’s best five wins including record and song of the year for “Not Like Us”; a high-octane performance at the Super Bowl; and last week, a chart double in Australia.
Meanwhile, Rosé’s collaboration with Bruno Mars, “APT.”, completes the podium on the ARIA Chart, down 2-3. “APT.” came in at #16 on the IFPI’s globally tally of best-selling singles, published yesterday.
For the second straight week, Dom Dolla has the best-performing — and only — homegrown track on the national survey with “Dreamin'”. The club-ready number dips 33-43 in its second week.
Sabrina Carpenter had a massive year in 2024, during which time her breakthrough album Short n’ Sweet was the third-biggest release in the world, behind collections by Taylor Swift and Billie Eilish, and she was a top 10 artist on the IFPI’s global recording artist list, her first appearance.
Short n’ Sweet isn’t losing any juice in Australia, where it returns to the summit of the ARIA Chart, 4-1. The U.S. pop star also snags the top debut on the singles chart with “Busy Woman,” housed by the deluxe edition of Short n’ Sweet which dropped Feb. 14th. It’s new at #22.
The target of Kendrick Lamar’s barbs on “Not Like Us,” Drake, is currently playing arenas across Australia. That exposure adds fuel to $ome $exy $ongs 4 U, his first collaborative LP with PartyNext Door, new at #2.
According to ARIA, Drake has five career No. 1 albums here: Views (in 2016), Scorpion (2018), Dark Lane Demo Tapes (2020), Certified Lover Boy (2021) and For All The Dogs (2023). Three tracks from his new collection impact the ARIA top 50 Singles Chart, led by the solo Drake number, “Nokia”, at #28.
Brisbane artist Mallrat bags a top 40 debut with her latest album, Light Hit My Face Like A Straight Right. It’s new at #35, and one of two Australian made LPs on the chart. Mallrat’s debut EP Driving Music made it to #10 in 2019, and her first full-length studio album, Butterfly Blue, peaked at #6 in 2022.
