Kaylee Bell has announced her upcoming album Cowboy Up, set for release on Friday, September 26th.
Alongside the announcement, Bell has released a new single titled “The Thing About Us”, a bright country-pop track.
The album will include previously released tracks “Red Dirt Romeo”, “Ring On It”, and the title track “Cowboy Up”. It also features “Song for Shania”, a tribute to Shania Twain, one of Bell’s biggest musical influences.
One of the album’s most personal songs is “Heartbeat”, written shortly after Bell learned she was pregnant.
“It’s the most personal song I’ve ever written,” she says. “It captures the shock, the wonder, and the overwhelming realisation that life as I knew it was about to change forever.”
The album also includes a cover of Natalie Imbruglia’s “Torn”, a track Bell says has always been a favourite. She recently performed it live at CMC Rocks Australia.
Bell will support the album with a nationwide tour across Aotearoa in November, marking her biggest headline run to date.
