Katy Perry‘s back in the studio. The pop star announced Monday that her latest single “Woman’s World” will release July 11, followed by a music video the next day. The track marks her first single off of her upcoming album.
In a 15-second TikTok video, Perry wears a mesh bikini and metallic, horse hoof-styled boots as she sings, “Sexy, confident/So intelligent/She is heaven sent/So soft, so strong,” over a pop beat.

In 2020, Perry released Smile, a 12-track album where “she stops trying to keep up with the Halseys and happily defaults to the fizzy bombast that is her stadium-size safety zone,” as Rolling Stone wrote in a review of the album. The “Kween of Kamp” spent most of the last two years performing a residency at Las Vegas’ Resorts World. In 2023, she celebrated the 15th anniversary of her debut album, One of the Boys, featuring hit tracks “I Kissed a Girl” and “Hot N Cold.”
The “California Girls” singer announced her exit from American Idol in February after seven seasons on the competition show, during a Jimmy Kimmel Live! appearance, and teased she’d be returning to music. (So far, Megan Trainor has begged to take the pop star’s spot on the judge’s panel.)
“Well, you know, this fall, this September, I’m going to be doing this huge music festival in Brazil called Rock in Rio,” Perry told Kimmel. “It’s really exciting. It’s a big deal for people all over the world, especially my Brazilian fans.”
