Katseye knows all about gruelling audition processes. It’s how they became a group in the first place. In the video for their latest single “Animal,” the pop act performs for a conference room full of board group they’ve named Boyseye, with each member in gender-swapped appearances. Boyseye isn’t entirely impressed by the performance Katseye initially puts on.

After watching their headshots be torn to shreds, the group goes back to the drawing board with some help and tough love from special guest Demi Moore. The actress vetoes subpar outfits and hands out fashion advice as her own twisted version of The Devil Wears Prada‘s Miranda Priestly.

“Animal” was co-written by Ed Sheeran and produced by Addison Rae and Adéla collaborators Omer Fedi and Blake Slatkin, respectively. The single will appear on Katseye’s upcoming five-track EP Wild, out Aug. 14. It follows the release of “Pinky Up,” which arrived ahead of their Coachella debut and officially launched their first EP without Manon Bannerman, who remains on hiatus from the group.

Katseye hosted an official countdown event on YouTube in the 30 minutes leading up to the video premiere. Sophia missed the stream, but Lara, Yoonchae, Megan, and Daniela celebrated the release with animal-style fries from In-N-Out Burger and teasers for what’s to come. “We’re really stepping it forward and trying new stuff and it’s looking so good,” Daniela said.

Following the release of Wild and the theatrical release of their movie Katseye: Wild Hearts in August, Katseye will embark on the Wildworld Tour. Kicking off in September, the trek will make stops in cities across North America and Europe including two nights at Los Angeles’ Crypto.com Arena. Wild Hearts follows the global girl group on their rise to superstardom as they transform as performers in time with their third EP.
