US-based multidisciplinary artist Kate Bollinger will make her long-awaited debut in Australia and New Zealand in early 2026.
Having toured internationally alongside Faye Webster, Tennis, and Devendra Banhart, Bollinger has built a reputation for warm, wistful, and intimate live shows that blur the lines between indie pop, folk, and psychedelic rock.
Coming to Australian shores for the first time in January next year, she will play headline shows in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, and Perth.
She will also play shows in New Zealand, at Auckland’s Double Whammy, as well as the new Hawke’s Bay music festival SLACKBARN! and SLACKSUNDAYS!.
Bollinger has quietly become one of indie pop’s distinctive voices, with 2024’s acclaimed full-length debut album, Songs From A Thousand Frames of Mind, earning widespread praise. Stereogum described it as “strikingly beautiful, while The Fader said it was “an impeccable suite of quietly rich indie pop”.
Her sound blends classic pop craft with covert punk instincts, with influences ranging from ’60s icons like Françoise Hardy and the Velvet Underground to Pavement and the Elephant 6 Collective from the ’90s. The result is a collage-like vision – evoking the feeling of flipping through your coolest friend’s record collection and discovering a new favourite at every turn.
She has shared a new track from the forthcoming Deluxe Edition, “Lonely (Virginia Strings Version)”, a lush reimagining of the original, featuring a sweeping string section. The rest of the Deluxe album will see her revisit past works from fresh angles.

“I wanted to make some more kind of home-recorded versions of the songs,” Bollinger said. “Bring them closer to what they were when I first wrote them.”
She also features on Cut Copy’s recent single “Belong to You”, off Moments, a dreamy collaboration that fuses her gossamer vocals with the Australian electronic pioneers’ luminous, dance floor-ready sound.
Tickets to Bollinger’s shows excluding Melbourne go on sale Tuesday, October 7th via Moshtix, with Melbourne tickets available separately via Universe.
Tickets to her New Zealand shows will be available via The Slack Agency.
