Jessica Pratt has added New Zealand dates to her upcoming tour Down Under.

Already locked in for festival slots at Vivid LIVE in Sydney and Melbourne’s Rising, the Californian folk favourite has expanded her tour to include three New Zealand shows this June with her full band.

Before heading to Aotearoa, Pratt will also take the stage at Open Season in Brisbane on Tuesday, June 3rd.

She’ll play Christchurch’s The Piano on Monday, June 9th, Meow Nui in Wellington on Tuesday, June 10th, and Auckland’s Bruce Mason Centre on Wednesday, June 11th – a far cry from the intimate solo sets early fans caught at The Tuning Fork and The Golden Dawn a decade ago.

Presale tickets go on sale Wednesday, March 26th at 10am (sign-up here). General tickets go on sale Friday, March 28th at 10am (local time). Get tickets from Banished Music.

Pratt’s Vivid LIVE set is locked in for Wednesday, May 28th at the Sydney Opera House, while her Rising shows are set for June 5th and 6th at Melbourne Recital Centre.

Pratt is touring in support of her critically acclaimed fourth album, Here In The Pitch. Promoters promise a show that leans into lush, vintage sounds, bringing to life what The Guardian calls “retro pop with the feel of a forgotten classic.”

Reviews consistently describe Pratt’s music as sublime, exemplary, classic, and transfixing.

Since her 2012 debut, Pratt has steadily built a devoted following, with 2015’s On Your Own Love Again producing cult favourite “Back, Baby” – later sampled by Troye Sivan.

2019’s Quiet Signs marked a shift in her production style, a trajectory continued on Here In The Pitch, where she channels the warmth of The Beach Boys’ Pet Sounds and The Walker Brothers’ cinematic balladry.

Pratt’s NZ run is presented by Banished Music and Strange News Touring.
